Amendments – Employees of Queensland Government Departments (Other Than Public Servants) Award – State 2003
On 6 August 2009, the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission made amendments to the Employees of Queensland Government Departments (Other Than Public Servants) Award – State 2003 . The amendments were sought after a lengthy review of the award, which involved extensive consultation with unions and agencies. These amendments are operative from 6 August 2009.
Key amendments are as follows:
- Introduced coverage of the award to employees who were subject to the Motoring Services Award – South-Eastern District 2003. All employees are currently employed as Car Park Officers in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and as Tyre Fitters in the Department of Police;
- Removed references and sections relating to College Educational Assistants as they are no longer employed in Department of Education and Training;
- Updated references to Directives and other awards;
- Updated names of union parties referred to in the award;
- Updated references to provisions contained in relevant schedules to the award, in particular those relating to movement of functions between departments through Machinery of Government changes; and
- Amendments to Schedule 1 relating to the deletion and inclusion of positions contained in a number of departments.
