Directive 1/09 – “Relocation Expenses for Officers Retiring from the Service”
A replacement directive was published in the Queensland Government Gazette of 30 January 2009 and operates from 2 February 2009.
Directive 1/09 “Relocation Expenses for Officers Retiring from the Service” replaces Directive 7/04 of the same name.
Changes to the directive are outlined as follows:
- References to the Public Service Act 2008 have been updated;
- New clause numbering has been inserted;
- The dollar amounts for allowances that have a nexus with the Domestic Travelling and Relieving Expenses Directive or the Transfer and Appointment Expenses Directive have been deleted and a reference to the relevant allowance in the other directive has been inserted instead;
- The deleted
dollar amounts
relate to:
- allowance per kilometre for private vehicle usage;
- allowances for overnight stays with relatives or friends;
- meal allowances;
- allowance for packing own furniture; and
- allowance for transport of pets and/or plants; and
- The size and weight limits for transport of furniture have been increased to align with the Transfer and Appointment Expenses Directive.
