If a year does not appear in the list above, then there are no active directives from that year.
Directives are issued under sections 53 and 54 of the Public Service Act 2008 (the Act).
Under section 53 of the Act the Public Service Commission Chief Executive may issue directives on matters relating to the Public Service Commission's or the Public Service Commission Chief Executive’s functions and the overall employment conditions for chief executives, senior executives and public service officers on contract whose remuneration is equal to, or higher than, the remuneration payable to a senior executive.
Under section 54 of the Act the industrial relations Minister may issue directives about the remuneration and conditions of employment applying to public service employees (other than chief executives and senior executives) and public service officers on contract whose remuneration is equal to, or less than, the remuneration payable to a senior officer. Ministerial directives apply to the employees specified in the application clause of the particular directive.
Ministerial and Public Service Commission Chief Executive directives are included in a single series. Employees' enquiries about directives are to be directed to the human resources or employee relations contact officer in their work area.
The directives available on this site are provided for information purposes only. The official or authorised versions of directives are published in the Queensland Government Gazette and can be purchased from SDS Publications.
